Emergency Disaster Procedures:

• If you are told to evacuate – Please EVACUATE
• When/if you vacate, please notify All County by sending an email to your PM, or text 407-543-1564.
• Be sure to take pets with you.
• Install hurricane shutters if they were provided with your home.
• Turn off power to the home. Turn off main Breakers/ Gas Lines. Find them now so you are prepared.
• Be sure to take all necessary medications with you.
• Turn off Water Main coming into the home.
• Secure the home against damage.
• Secure or bring in items that may blow around outside.
• Plywood can be obtained from any home improvement store, but usually sells out quickly (do not screw plywood through window frames).
• Sand bags can be obtained from most fire departments, but they can go quickly as well.
• Please report all damages as soon as possible on the tenant portal.

Here are some important guidelines and resources to help you prepare for hurricane season:

Create an Emergency Plan: Develop a comprehensive plan for your household that includes evacuation routes, meeting points, and a communication strategy. Share this plan with all members of your household.

Assemble an Emergency Kit: Prepare an emergency kit that includes essential items such as non-perishable food, bottled water, medications, a flashlight, batteries, first aid supplies, important documents, and any other necessities your family might need.

A basic emergency supply kit could include the following recommended items:

• Water – one gallon of water per person per day for at least three days, for drinking and sanitation
• Food – at least a three-day supply of non-perishable food
• Battery-powered or hand crank radio and a NOAA Weather Radio with tone alert
• Flashlight
• First aid kit
• Extra batteries
• Whistle to signal for help
• Dust mask to help filter contaminated air and plastic sheeting and duct tape to shelter-in-place
• Moist towelettes, garbage bags and plastic ties for personal sanitation
• Wrench or pliers to turn off utilities
• Manual can opener for food
• Local maps
• Cell phone with chargers and a backup battery

Secure Outdoor Items: Do not prune trees at this time. Trash collection will be delayed, and loose branches may become dangerous wind-blown projectiles, secure outdoor furniture, and clear your balcony or patio of any loose items that could become projectiles in high winds.

Prepare Your Home: Check your roof, windows, and doors for any vulnerabilities that might lead to leaks or damage.

Stay Informed: Monitor local news, weather forecasts, and official updates from local authorities. Sign up for emergency alerts via text or email to stay informed about the latest developments.

Know Your Evacuation Routes: Familiarize yourself with the designated evacuation routes in your area. Have a backup route in case your primary route is congested.

Protect Important Documents: Make digital copies of important documents such as identification, insurance policies, and lease agreements. Store these copies in a secure online location or on a portable drive.

Communication is Key: Keep your mobile devices charged and have backup power sources available. Ensure you have a way to communicate with family, friends, and emergency services during power outages.

Check Insurance Coverage: Review your renter’s insurance policy to understand what is covered during natural disasters like hurricanes. Consider additional coverage if necessary.

Follow Authorities’ Instructions: In the event of a hurricane warning or evacuation order, follow the instructions of local authorities promptly and take necessary actions to keep yourself safe.
